"Pre-2021 Thoughts – As 2020 drew to a close things were coming together under Mourinho. Spurs topped the league not long before Christmas and were still being touted as potential outsiders for the title despite recent rocky results."
JANUARY
1' As always the January transfer window kicked-off the year. Despite rumours of Eriksen returning, we didn't make any signings. Little of note happened in terms of outgoings either.
10' We witness the magic of the FA Cup, as we visit non-league Marine FC – A comical fixture that saw celebrity manager Jose Mourinho stood barking orders in front of people stood in their own back gardens. The match included a hat-trick from loanee striker Carlos Vinícius, and a goal from sixteen year old academy prospect Alfie Devine, in a 5-0 victory.
17' Ndombele scores a stunning angled bicycle kick goal in a 3-1 win over Sheffield Utd in the league.
28' Kane injures both ankles in 3-1 loss to Liverpool.
FEBRUARY
28' Bale bangs two against Burnley in a comfortable 4-0 victory.
MARCH
7' Bale finds the net twice again in a 4-1 win over Palace.
14' Lamela scores an outrageous rabona goal against Arsenal, then gets sent-off in the same match... We won't want to mention the result (a 2-1 loss). It was later awarded the official Premier League Goal of the Season for 2020/21.
18' We somehow crash out of the Europa League, as Dinamo Zagreb manage to overturn a two goal deficit to go through, as they beat us 3-0 in Croatia.
APRIL
18' Spurs are announced as one of twelve clubs set to join a controversial new European 'Super League'.
19' Jose Mourinho sacked as Spurs boss after a string of bad results. He'd been in charge of the club for 17 months.
20' Ryan Mason named as interim head coach.
25' A chance of silverware as we headed to Wembley in the Carabao Cup Final, only to lose 1-0 to Man City courtesy of a Aymeric Laporte header.
MAY
2' Gareth Bale takes home the match ball as he bags a hat-trick in a 4-0 win over Sheffield Utd.
27' Rumours emerge of a possible Pochettino reunion.
JUNE
30' Spurs finally appoint a new manager – Nuno Espirito Santo.
JULY
"Thoughts at Halfway – Things were looking bleak for the season ahead, it'd been a summer of stumbling around in search of a new manager to undertake the next big 're-build', and they'd landed on a man they'd rejected at the start; never a good sign. Kane and England had almost enjoyed a triumphant Euros, falling at the final hurdle in a shootout, but the striker still wanted away from Spurs, and who could blame him? Heading into a season with such low expectations…"
24' Signed Pierluigi Gollini on loan from Atlanta with the option to make the deal permanent later down the line.
26' Signed Bryan Gil for £21.6m from Sevilla, in a deal that saw Érik Lamela go the other way.
27' We bid farewell to Toby Alderweireld, as he ended a six year stint at the club to head to Qatar's Al-Duhail for an undisclosed fee.
AUGUST
6' Signed Cristian Romero from Atalanta in a season-long loan deal, with an option to buy for £42.5m.
15' A match of firsts against Man City – First game of the new season, the first under Nuno, first game with fans in the stands since March 4th 2020.

Supporters were treated to an excellent result to kick-off the season, as we ran out 1-0 winners over the defending Champions.
25' An end to the Kane saga, for now, as he announces via social media that he won't be leaving Spurs this summer.
27' Signed Pape Matar Sarr for a fee of £12.8m from Metz. We then loan him straight back to them for the following season.
This day also saw long-term servant Sissoko leave to Watford for £5m.
29' Spurs sit top of the league as Arsenal wallow at the bottom for the first time in Premier League history.
31' Signed Emerson Royal from Barcelona in a deadline day deal worth £30m.
SEPTEMBER
10' Nuno is awarded Premier League's Manager of the Month for the side's performances in August.

30' Cristiano Ronaldo scores a sublime volley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as we're thrashed 3-0 in our own backyard by Man Utd.

2' Spurs make a huge statement by appointing serial winner Antonio Conte as our new boss.
7' Ben Davies emerges as an unlikely benefactor of Conte's arrival with a strong showing in a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park.
25' We’re humiliated by Slovenian minnows Mura in the Europa Conference League in a 2-1 loss.
DECEMBER
19' Winks and Dele show signs of resurgences under Conte in a promising 2-2 draw with Liverpool.
31' We remain unbeaten in the league under Conte as we prepare to face Watford to kick-off the New Year.
"Thoughts at the End – In Conte we trust. There's a unity in the support at Spurs for a change, as it seems like we all have a confidence in our new manager, we're willing to accept his decisions, and we're all excited to see what he can do. The Premier League table for the calendar year has us in 7th spot, which is around where I'd expect after another year of various highs and lows and COVID complications. Let's hope we push on and fight for that 4th spot to see Spurs compete in the Champions League again in 2022. COYS!"
End of Year Awards
Player of the Year – 1. Hugo Lloris – Our Captain has been so consistent over the past year, and that's what you want from your goalkeeper - reliability, not liability. It's worrying that he hasn't put pen to paper on a new deal yet, as it means he's free to speak to other clubs now, which could mean him leaving on a free at the end of the season. Spurs need to sort this situation out and sign him up again ASAP. He remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and having spent almost a decade with us now, he's a legend at the club, and hopefully a future ambassador.
Goal of the Year – Lamela's Rabona against Arsenal – Despite him being sent-off in the same match, and us losing, there's no doubt it was a special goal that I remember really jumping out of my seat for. Plus, it means we'll be seeing Spurs score against Arsenal broadcast across TV screens around the world for years to come.
